SVG animations

Is there any open, maintained implementation of the full SVG standard available? -Or more general, is there any implementation other than the unmaintained Adobe plugin?
Someone really needs to finish the SVG implementations in Firefox and webkit so I can finish my Ultimate playbook thingy. After all, I can’t do everything…
In the meantime, is there a good JavaScript library available for doing animating SVGs?
